KNOW JESUS

What does it mean to follow Jesus?

Following Jesus is not about becoming more religious. It is about knowing the God who made you, receiving His forgiveness, and learning to live with Him at the center of your life.

1

God created you and loves you.

Your life is not an accident. God made you, knows you, and created you for a relationship with Him.

“So God created mankind in his own image…” — Genesis 1:27
2

Something has gone wrong.

Every one of us has chosen our own way instead of God’s way. The Bible calls that sin. Sin damages our lives and separates us from God.

We cannot repair that separation simply by trying harder, being nicer, or becoming more religious.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

Jesus came for you.

God did not leave us separated from Him. Jesus came into the world, lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again.

He did for us what we could never do for ourselves.

God’s love did not stop at words. Jesus gave His life for you.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8

Can God really forgive me?

Yes. Forgiveness does not mean that what happened did not matter. It means Jesus paid the price for our sin so that guilt, shame, and failure do not have to separate us from God forever.

You can bring your past to Him honestly. When you turn to Jesus and trust Him, God offers forgiveness and a new beginning.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” — 1 John 1:9

You can respond to Him.

God’s invitation is personal. You can turn toward Him, trust Jesus, receive His forgiveness, and choose to follow Him.

You do not earn salvation. It is God’s gift.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8

Following Jesus is the beginning.

Trusting Jesus is not the finish line. It is the beginning of a new life with Him.

Talk to God

Prayer is simply talking honestly with God and learning to listen for His direction.

Read the Bible

Start with one of the Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John — and learn what Jesus said and did.

Find other Christians

Find a Bible-teaching church and people who can encourage you, answer questions, and help you grow.

Learn to live His way

Following Jesus means learning to love God, love people, forgive, serve, and obey Him.

“If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
YOUR RESPONSE

Are you ready to trust Jesus?

You do not need special words. You can talk to God honestly right now.

“Jesus, I know I need You. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. Please forgive me. I want to trust You, know You, and follow You. Help me begin a new life with You. Amen.”

Saying a certain prayer is not what saves you. Salvation comes through trusting Jesus. The prayer simply helps put that trust into words.
