God wants you to know Him, talk with Him, learn from His Word and show His love to other people.
Here are five simple ways to start.
Learn About Jesus
The more you know Jesus, the more you will understand how much God loves you.
Jesus came to show us what God is like.
He loved people, helped people, forgave people and taught us how God wants us to live.
One fun way to learn more is by watching Bible stories.

When you’re finished, ask yourself:

The Bible helps us learn who God is and how He wants us to live.
The Bible is a big book, so don’t worry if you don’t understand everything.
Start with stories about Jesus.
You might begin with the Gospel of John, Luke or Mark.

You can tell God:
- What you’re thankful for.
- What you’re worried about.
- What you’re sorry for.
- Who you want Him to help.
- What you need help understanding.

Live Like Jesus
Following Jesus changes the way we treat people.
You don’t have to wait until you’re older to make a difference.
You can follow Jesus right now in the choices you make every day.
Look for chances to:
- Be kind to someone who feels left out.
- Forgive someone.
- Tell the truth.
- Help someone without being asked.
- Pray for a friend.
- Share what you have.
- Encourage someone who is having a hard day.
- Tell someone that God loves them.
Your Challenge
Ask God each morning:
“God, who can I show Your love to today?”
Then pay attention.
You may be surprised by the opportunities God gives you.
Don’t Do It Alone
God gives us other people to help us grow.
When you have questions about God, talk with someone you trust.
That might be:
- Your mom or dad.
- A grandparent.
- Your children’s pastor.
- Your Sunday school teacher.
- A trusted Christian adult.
Tell them you’re trying to learn more about Jesus and ask them to help you.
Being part of a church is also a great way to meet other kids and adults who are learning to follow Jesus too.
You were never meant to grow in your faith all by yourself.
